Warp version 6.0 has just been released. I have posted a copy of the distribution kit to net.sources. It's sizable, so I don't intend to resubmit it if it doesn't make it everywhere, which it won't. If it doesn't get to you via net.sources, there are several alternatives. The simplest might be for you or your friendly neighborhood guru to poll our system for the kit. Alternatively, if you can't get that to work, you might send me a small tape. If you are distant from us netwise, you might check to see if one of your neighboring sites has it and would be willing to give you a copy. There is a copy of the kit in our uucppublic directory, called "warp.kit", naturally enough. I have talked to our system guru, who supplied me with the following two L.sys entries. They should work for sites wishing to send mail to our machine or to pull known files from /usr/spool/uucppublic. It may be necessary for anyone using one of these L.sys entries to tweak it a bit--experimentation may be in order. The first L.sys entry should work for vanilla uucico's and the second should work with Shannon's sendthem(). (NOTE: the first one contains embedded carriage returns.) sdcrdcf Any ACU 1200 12138299958 "" class 51 "" BREAK "" BREAK in:-BREAK-in: Uanonymous word: anonymous sdcrdcf Any GANDALF 1200 14,8299958 "" \r\c class 51\r\c "" \dBREAK "" \dBREAK in:-BREAK-in: Uanonymous word: anonymous Larry Wall {sdccsu3,trw-unix,burdvax,ihnp4,allegra,cbosgd,hplabs}!sdcrdcf!lwall P.S. Old world types: I am sending a copy (via tape) to root44. Could you folks figure out some way to distribute it among yourselves? Sending ~123000 bytes across the Atlantic isn't cheap. P.P.S If your uucp gags on 123000 bytes, or breaks after you've pulled the first 65536 bytes over, there is a version of the kit in two hunks, both about 62000 bytes long. They are called "warp.kit.1" and "warp.kit.2", both in uucppublic.
