[net.games] Cribbage does it again

lab@qubix.UUCP (Larry Bickford) (12/03/83)

Saratoga Slick here again, with the latest update on how the cribbage
program on 4bsd cheats you.

You may remember the earlier episode on 4.1, where the computer
Muggins'ed me for not counting a four-flush in the crib.

4.2 has come up with something better.
The hand:
	3C 5C 9C QC
The upcard:
	QH

I scored 8: QH+5C, QC+5C, and a four-flush in hand.
Computer said it only scored 6, and grabbed a couple of points!

Earl T. Cohen, where are you?

P.S. Ken, is the lower right part of the screen supposed to erase?
It gets confusing when it doesn't.

If I was 4.2bsd, *I* would have counted 10, and stolen a couple
of points; you forgot the pair of queens. Perhaps this is what
happened? The result is the same.
