Regarding some questions about Adventure -

1) One can never bring the lamp through the narrow passage into the
room with the emerald, however there is another way to get into the
dark room which does not require the adventurer to pass through the
emerald room. This is done via a magic word of teleportation - there
is a clue to this word in the emerald room. 

2) One cannot 'get' to the repository in the usual sense of that
word. The game itself will put you into the repository when you have
met the pre-conditions, ie, seen all of the treasure items.

3) The pirate's chest is indeed in one of the mazes; to find it you
must try ALL of the directions in each of the rooms, even though the
odd directions like NE, SE, NW and SW seem to be a waste.

4) The "Spelunker Today" magazines do have a purpose. There is an
extremely subtle clue in the instructions which eventually gave me
the hint - something to do with "there are ways to tell if you've
been through some of the more harrowing sections of the cave". 

I trust these hints will be helpful to more advanced adventurers,
without spoiling the game for those in the earlier stages of play.
