THE GORILLA GROTTO 1984 CALENDAR No. 2
	--------------------------------------

The Grotto is hundreds of friends who like participation, imagination, and the
environment as playground. Anyone can create an event. Fun, frightening,
puzzling, silly, serious, challenging, relaxing, brainy or mindless - You name
it. We charge what it costs to put on. Anyone can participate. To get the
calendar of events send me a few legal-size SASEs. When you get back your last
one send more. The address is : Gorrila Grotto 2010 Channing #1 Berkeley,

THE RETURN OF STRANGE MUSIC...

DATE:	Friday night, March 30th. 8:00PM

MEET:	46 Sanchez, SF. Near Dubose.

COST:	2 Dollars

   * Do you have any records that you only play alone?

   * Were you ever evicted because of your musical tastes?

   *	Do you like Indian music and Scots Bagpipes? Together?

   * Have you ever tried "playing" the radio by rhythmically changing
	 stations?

If you answered yes to any of the previous questions this event is for you.
Bring examples of the strangest music you're aware of, on cassette or
records, or even live ( no pets ) and a brief description. Previous entries
include a Lithuanian folk song with only one note, and a recording of the
Rev. Jim Jones Gospel Choir. Professor Weird ( Joe Weinstein ) will narrate
a selection of treasurable oddities, then participants will vie to out-
weird his selection. Any re-recording of this event will be bemusedly welcome.

BRAIN STORM...

DATE:	Friday night, April 6th. 8:00PM

MEET:	46 Sanchez, SF. Near Dubose.

COST:	An Idea that we might work into an event.

Be famous. Be influential. Create an event. There are over two hundred
people getting calendars, and I figure on having at least 25 to 30 events
per year, so you should come up with at least one sixth of an event. Don't
forget that you get money to pay for any expenses from the take. Also,
people are always willing to help put it on with you. We will meet and
describe ideas and try to come up with events and helpers.

ENTER THE UNKNOWN...

DATE:	Saturday night, April 14th. 8:00PM

MEET:	The top of the parking garage at Fifth and Mission.

COST:	3 Dollars

Hints:	Wear all white with a dark outer layer which will be shed, for camo.
It won't be cold. Bring toboggans, "flying saucers", plastic
garbage can lids, those blue plastic swimming pool boats and the
like. Cars should be gassed and if you've got a way to transport
toboganns and such bring it. Gas costs will be reimbursed.

GROTTO BOWL...

DATE:	Friday night, April 20th. 9:00PM

MEET:	Outside of Park Bowl, at the north end of Haight st. SF

COST:	7 Dollars ( includes bowling shoes and lane etc. )

There is a revival of that great family sport in a new form that is sweeping
the gutter! ROCK-A-BOWL!! People come to dance to punk new wave reggae
stuff, and try to bowl at the same time! Dressed and pinned etc. to the
hilt. It's time to get out those Hawaiian Bowling shirts and flamed hair-
dos and WIG-OUT!! Perfectly mindless. Let's do it. Teams will be formed.
Call me and say how many are coming so I can reserve lanes ASAP.
The number, as always is : THE-TRIP
