I would like information about a game, ULTIMA II, that I recently saw running on an IBM PC. ... Is it any good (given that I like Rogue)? Where can it be bought, for how much? How long until you "solve it" or get bored with it? Thanks. Dick wexelblat (...decvax!ittvax!wxlvax!rlw)

Perhaps I should have replied by mail, but ...
Ultima II is a *very* nice game, good implementation, good graphics,
good ideas. It's basically another D&D type game, just a bit slicker
and with nice graphics. I played it for about three weeks straight
with no boredom, there were always new things to figure out. There
was one minor bug which allowed you to generate an infinite number
of ships but it took some weird moves to cause it so ... I'm just
waiting for the next issue of it.
