[net.games] Bug in 4.2 sail?

I have noticed what I think is a bug in sail on the 4.2 tape.
First, for a normal player, double shot takes two turns to load.
I guess this is realistic, but it makes double shot only marginally
useful.  Now when you play the computer, an interesting thing
happens:  When you are in close quarters with a computer-operated
ship, the ship fires double shot *every turn*.  This doesn't seem
fair.  Has anyone else noticed this, and is it truly a bug?
I am 8 of the top 10 scores in sail.log.  No one but the computer
will play with me.  And the computer cheats.

A final question:

Is there enough traffic here to warrent a net.games.sail?

Enemy ships do indeed fire double shot once per round.  I talked to
the creator of the game, and when I mentioned that, he just laughed
and said "don't get into close quarters with them (har har)".
He explained this away by the fact that the computer ships do not repair
damage done to them.  Personally I'd just rather have them not repair
damage...
