This is a 6 bit paper tape code I ran across. I haven't found any pattern to the code, but I assume there must be some pattern. Can you find it? I got the code off a tape that I knew the contents of. Unfortunately the tape didn't use all the letters. It just makes it a little more interesting, right? The numbers are in octal. I don't know know if I've got the most significant bit in the right place or not, but that won't destroy any pattern. A 30 N 06 0 55 If I get any results, I'll post them. B 23 O 03 1 67 For the sake of those who would like to C 16 P 15 2 71 work this out, please don't show off and D 22 Q 3 60 post your answer, for at least a few days. E R 12 4 52 (I shouldn't have to say that, but ...) F 26 S 5 41 G T 01 6 65 Also, if anybody knows what the code is H 05 U 7 74 used for, you get extra credit. (I know I 14 V 8 54 the answer to that one; at least I know J W 9 43 what the tape I got it off of was for.) K X 27 L 11 Y , 46 Philip Lantz M Z 21 . 47 tekmdp!philipl <eol> 10 <sp> 04
