231	n
232	plover
233	off
234	l (this is a lower-case "L", not a "one"...the machine will not
235	l recognize the "L", but what I am doing is just using up moves
236	l to kill time. Continue with the "l" until you reach move 289.)

290	sw

Now, although I count 295 actual moves, the game will tell the player:
"You scored 350 out of a possible 350 using 291 turns."

I can only conclude that perhaps the game discounted something that I counted
(perhaps fighting with the Dwarf doesn't count beyond the *first* time
you get the axe), or that there is a bug in the "official" count.

As you can see, one of the secrets allowing you to play a shortened game
is in the opening moves where you go move the emerald and get the pyramid
WITHOUT having the lamp....hence you don't have to "drop" the lamp and
then "get" it again when you move the emerald through the narrow crack.

Another secret is to find all of those places where you can simply say the
name of a room or a location and leapfrog past other rooms to that destination
(fork, bedquilt, etc.).

Another secret is that just because you see a treasure in a room,
you don't have to pick it up when you are going to come back through that room
again (e.g., the trident is left behind the first time, but gotten on
the second pass). That way, you don't end up having to drop the treasure
somewhere because you "can't carry any more."

Perhaps a 1 or 2 move shorter game gan be found if you don't drop
the keys...or the bottle...

If you find a shorter version, I'd like to get a hard copy of the record
of your moves.

Thanks:

D. L. McKiernan.
