[ Hello, sailor! ] Can any Infocom fans out there help me with one small problem I am having with Infidel? I am at a dead end in the game. What do I do with the bricks in the cube? Is there something that I have to look through, if so, where is it and what is it? Also, any insight on the hieroglyphics? Most of them can't be translated using the docs with the game. Thanks in advance. ...Sue W. ...{allegra, seismo}!rochester!rocksvax!sunybcs!305wsj

* Well, I *hate* to admit it, but Infocom's INFIDEL has me *totally* stopped. I can here the chuckles as the more experienced among you say "Yeah, getting those last 5 points are really tough..." The problem is, I can't get past the FIRST 5 points!(The cube) I've ripped the camp apart, and I think I've found everything (sure...), like the cube, shovel and canteen; and I've used the nav box to guide me over every spot on the map and then some; and I've dug everywhere. I either can't dig ("The ground is too hard here...") or I dig until the hole falls in on me. ANY help leading to the pyramid would be appreciated. Thanks! Bob May ...!hplabs!hp-pcd!bobm

(a) Did you look inside the chest in your tent? (b) Are you using the nav box correctly? In fact, one does need to dig at a certain spot. Keep trying (but not by trial and error)!
