[net.games] hack pseudo-bug

robert@gitpyr.UUCP (Robert Viduya) (01/11/85)

I was browsing through the hack source today, trying to track down a small bug
(the author assumed int's were 2 bytes; they're 4 bytes on our machine) and I
discovered that if your login name is "david", you get more zoo's (a zoo being
a room full of monsters, it seems to be a variant of shops). In fact, you're
guaranteed to have a zoo on every level below the sixth. I find this rather
strange. The author must have a prejudice against anyone whose login name
is "david" :-).

Or david just loves Zoo's. Ask him, he is on the net somewhere.

BTW, what about Maud's memory.
