The solution of the sum/product problem posted by Mark Brader (from Martin Gardner's Sci. Am. column) is incorrect for the problem as stated on the net. The solution depends not only on the upper bound, but on the lower bound as well. The solution "4 and 13" is correct for bounds of 1 and 100. For integers in the range 3-100, the solution I obtained was "13 and 16." Bonnie Packert ... sdcsvax!bmcg!bp
