[net.games] Old Pinball Machines

I have recently become a great fan of Williams' latest offering in the Pinball
world, Space Shuttle. It plays fast and the light and sound effects are
executed very well. My only complaint is that several of the objects on the
upper half of the table tend to send the ball flying off the playfield, and
I once got a ball stuck in the decoration on the left side of the machine. Not
an attractive play feature. Otherwise, I am mightily impressed.

Gottlieb's last pin before they left the business, Alien Star, is another one
of my favorites. The table is quite simple (EXTREMELY simple when compared to
Space Shuttle's dual ball locks, hidden tunnels, and launch ramp), but very
fast and enjoyable.

And Atari's wide-table Superman machine used to keep me playing 4 or 5 games
per quarter. God that was a great game!
