I have a question, several in fact, concerning Zork II. I am using Apple's version, but it shouldn't be much different from the other split games, I hope. Anyway, here goes: 1) Where are you supposed to store your treasures? 2) What is the answer to the Riddle Room? (What is tall as a house, round as a cup, and all the king's horses can't draw it up) 3) How do you get past the menhir in the menhir room? 4) Is there any purpose to the maze of oddly-angled rooms, other than to find the bat? 5) How do you open the door in the tiny room? the guarded room? I have worked at all these for a while, to no avail. I would appreciate any hints or answers. Any help at all would be appreciated. Contact Has Been Made, Andrew Garrett

I have a question about Zork II. I have found all ten treasures, now what do I do? I haven't found a use for the spheres, nor have I figured out the menhir room or the baseball maze. Any hints would be appreciated. Contact Has Been Made, Andrew Garrett

I've found all ten treasures in Zork II, and am now at a total loss as to what to do. Basically, I have two questions: 1) How does one summon the demon in order to bribe him with the treasures? 2) How does one get through the baseball maze? Contact Has Been Made, Andrew Garrett

> 1) How does one summon the demon in order to bribe him with the > treasures? Finish the rest of the game first. > 2) How does one get through the baseball maze? Easy; run around the baseball diamond.

[here it is, line eater!!] I have come to the perhaps not to remarkable conclusion that I am missing something in this game, but, more remarkable, I think I know what it is, the white sphere. I have the other two, and form the numerous times I've died I believe there is a third. It may, perhaps, be in the Murky Room. My question is, where is the Murky Room? Of lesser interest, although still of major concern, what should I do with or to the sea serpent? Further, how does one get past Cerberus? Any help at all would be appreciated. Sounds like it may be underwater. Hmmm, if the refractive index of a crystal sphere matched that of water it would be hard to see..

*** < The wizard waves his wand and you float 5 feet off the ground > *** Are there any ZORK II wizards out there in net land? I posted this request about a month ago but have'nt received any responses, so I'm trying again. I am looking for a ZORK II hint. I have almost finished the game (380 points), and have gotten a little stuck. What should I do with the dogs collar? I have tried a few things but the best reponse I get is "The dog raises a couple of inches off the floor" . I know that cerberus can be found in the pentagram room ( even though I can not see him) but I can not seem to be able to do anything with him. Also I think I must be missing something about the maze of oddly angled rooms. The only thing I can find there is the club. Can the random directions be turned off there like in the other room? Any subtle hints will be appreciated. hou5e!rjp

There is no dog in the pentagram room.. 2) What might a club be used for .. try reading it .. feel its weight .. etc. 3) Random directions in the maze will leave you lost in the maze. However, to finish this game you will have to be much less random in your thought processes. 4) Do what everyone else would do with a dog collar .. 5) But first solve the maze.. thats all you have left to do.

Do the obvious. > I know that cerberus can be found in the pentagram > room ( even though I can not see him) but I can not seem to be able to do > anything with him. Huh? Cerberus is your doggie -- I don't remember him being in the pentagram room. > Also I think I must be missing something about the maze of > oddly angled rooms. The only thing I can find there is the club. Can the > random directions be turned off there like in the other room? Ah. This is one of the trickier puzzles. What makes it so difficult, I think, is that in fact, there is not a "maze of oddly angled rooms", as the game allows you to believe. There is but one oddly angled room, which you are wandering around in. With this in mind, the solution may be easier. What do the glowy thingies on the floor resemble? How many of them are there? What is the distinguishing feature of the club? How might this club have been used? Happy Zorking, ..tektronix!reed!bart

[] Well, thanks to help from the net, i finally finished Zork II. However, I was not able to get the full 400 point do to the fact that I was killed in the Aquarian Room. I would like the satisfaction of getting the full points, so I have one final question. How do you get the sphere out of the fish tank without being killed by the serpent?
