Today I am posting the game search to net.sources.games in 6 shar archives of about 26K each. Many thanks to hastings@navajo, celerity!barto and sequent!phil who have tested it on their machines and given me a few (amazingly few!) bug reports and some improvements. Thanks also to pucc-j!rsk and gitpyr!robert who are adding even more machines to the search-running family. So far(*) search runs under 4.2bsd unix on the Vax (780 and 750), the Sun (release 1.2 and 2.0) the Pyramid 90x, the Sequent Balance 8000 and the Celerity C1200. All without #ifdefs. There are notes in the README file in the first package for the aid of those who may wish to get search running on other machines. More thanks, of course, to the previous authors of search, Greg Ordy, Sam Leffler and Dave Pare, all of whom have given their permission for this distribution. There may be updates distributed at a later date in diff form, so keep your sources around and send all fixes or improvements to me please.
