 The Second in the Enchanter-Sorcerer series, I need these hints 
below !!  So far, I got 350 points out of possible 400 points....

This is, of course common knowledge to all but.......
1) How to take a muddy scroll from the older self
   in a coal bin room?
2) When is the right time to drink a potion from the
   amber vial ?
