While playing Planetfall (and finishing it) this weekend I ran into one
of those cute bugs that you find every now and then in an Infocom game.
To recreate the bug, repair the computer and wait in the Bio Lab
until you are very tired (about to fall asleep), get the mask, turn
on the gas and walk out into the lab. If you time it right you will fall
asleep while being chased by the bio-lab experiments. In a fit of kindness
they will not kill you, and will wait until you wake up to chase you again.
It is nice to see that even bio-lab experiments have a code of ethics
and stick to it :-).
