[net.games] Need an Enchanter hint

Sorry if this has been here before, but I seem to be very stuck at
110 points in Enchanter.  Some questions:
  - Is the adventurer willing to do anything for me at all?  It seems as
    though when I try to bribe him he just takes whatever I give him
    (the egg, or the silver spoon) and splits.  If I ask him to do something,
    I get the maddening reply "I'll do what I please, thank you".
  - Does the turtle have any significance?
  - Should I stop messing with the rat hole?
  - Does the translucent room(s) ever amount to anything?
  - How can I get the ropes off the jewel box?
  - Is it meant to be possible to successfully get out of the
    control room at this stage of the game?
  - How in the world can I get out of that stupid cell alive???
I guess my main frustration is with the adventurer, it seems as though
he holds the key to get more of the game unraveled, but he is extremely
uncooperative (even after VAXUMing him).

Any little itty-bitty hint so that I can get on with the game will
be appreciated...(and not summarized).
