[net.games] Wishbringer Help Wanted

I have been playing this game with my 9 year old daughter (it claims to be
an introductory level game) and we are stuck.  After crossing the bridge
into Witchville (?, I don't have the game in front of me) we have the
following items: chocolate, gold coin, umbrella, horse shoe, stone, violet
note, conch shell.  Earlier in the game we saved the sea horse (good?) and
broke the rotten stem (good?).  We have gotten the glasses (spending the
coin in the process -- the previously posted bug about getting it back
doesn't seem to work in our version), got the candle, seemingly solved the 
problem of the hungry mailbox, and have been avoiding the boots (although
we know how to get out of the jail).  We seem to need help with the 
following; if anyone knows the answers please send hints (not solutions) 
to me at [most major sites]!tektronix!tekchips!toma.

1. How do we get the copper slug (which I assume will work the video game).

2. How do we get the Grues' Milk?

3. What do we do about the platypus?

4. Anything else we need to do before trying to get to the witch's castle?
