[net.research] Any parallelizer out there?

quiroz@rochester.UUCP (Cesar Quiroz) (09/03/85)

I'm looking for information on (current or past) work on vectorizing or
parallelizing compilers (especially the latter). My main interest (*) is
in projects where the underlying language isn't restricted to very limited
domains (say, not just Linear Algebra), but rather attempts to extract
parallelism from as General-Purpose a class of programs as can sensibly
be asked for. (Multiprocessors preferred to array machines, also).

Cesar ("No, not a paralyzer compiler. We already got them.")

(*) But, of course, data on other (even remotely) related projects is
     welcome
