What does it matter whether Newman's machine is as he says or is not? 10,000,000 postings to the net don't make a h*ll of a lot of difference. Frankly, I'd be quite happy if Mr. Newman had stumbled upon something remarkable that the "physics-oriented" (???) net didn't know! In any case, what does it matter? I suggest that the tremendous amount of time and energy (not to mention the huge grasp of science and super-human objectivity) that has been spent on this debate might be better spent on some of the hoaxes which, if left to their own, might have some impact.
