I note with interest the comparison of various 'science' magazines. I also enjoy Science 85 considerably, and find it of great merit. However, it too seems to have been 'fooled' by Newman's energy machine. In the back of the most recent issue, in the section called 'ventures', which claims at the top of the page that (paraphrased) any notes implying scientific merit have been checked by the Science 85 staff, there appears a small description of Newman's book with an address for how to order copies. Sigh. Bryan P.S. Try American Scientist for a good, readable 'science' magazine. decvax!cca!bryan
