Someone was looking for the source of a quotation. I can't remember where they posted their request, but here is the answer, sort of: In the book "The Experts Speak" by Christopher Cerf and Victor Navasky, Pantheon Books, N.Y.C., 1984, page 208, it is stated: "I think there is a world market for about five computers" - remark attributed to Thomas J. Watson, Chairman of the Board of International Business Machines, 1943. They quote as THEIR reference a book by Morgan and Langford, "Facts and Fallacies", page 44. I have not tried to follow this up. I hope this helps whoever it was with whatever it was. -mark -- Spoken: Mark Weiser ARPA: mark@maryland Phone: +1-301-454-7817 CSNet: mark@umcp-cs UUCP: {seismo,allegra}!umcp-cs!mark USPS: Computer Science Dept., University of Maryland, College Park, MD 20742
