Now that everyone should be back from summer holidays (or back at school), it seems like a good time to poll for interested people. So far we have 3; it strikes me that there are probably more. If you have any events coming up, things to discuss, or filthy songs, speak up. Or just make yourself known. I'm jumping at Gananoque DZ, in Canada; we have a Twin Beech and two 182s, and will probably have a minor gathering on Canadian Thanksgiving (Oct. 11). Our major events are a spring boogie on the May long weekend (closest wknd to the 24th), and a winter meet on the ice of the St. Lawrence early in February (heated packing, food and other amenities). The main emphasis is 4 & 8 way, with a megablot contingent and a bunch of good zoomies. Visitors are of course welcome.

aha!... there ARE people out there after all! i've received 6 replies
(so far) from interested non-jumpers.
there are 2 programmer-jumpers at our site (a third left for a new job
last week), and about a dozen active jumpers in town (champaign-urbana, il).
we don't have our own dz anymore (we used to be known as the first church of
skydiving), so we have to travel to "nearby" (~90+miles) dz's: illinois valley
spc near peoria, hillsboro, kankakee, and various places in the chicago area.
we do most of our jumping from 182's, with occasional dc-3/twin otter rides at
boogies. several of us have pretty much adopted the illinois valley club
despite the travel time; the $4 to 7500' jump rates can't be beat around here.
have any of you in the toronto area heard of angus rupert? he was our
"pastor" for several years (he was my instructor) until he went back to
toronto for med school. since he owned the plane and most of the student
gear, that was the end of the local club.
