    hi!  there was once a brief flurry of activity here (a grand total
of 4-5 submissions, i think) about 9 months ago.  i think there may
have been some transmission difficulties. 
    anyhow, i'm presently in urbana, il, home of the U of Illinois.
i and many of the local jumpers go to the illinois valley pc dz near
peoria.  i've got about 170 jumps after 3 years in the sport.
    until a couple of months ago, we had 3 skydiver/programmers at this
site; 2 have departed to new jobs (one went to another site on usenet)
and we have a new one to replace them; the timing was close -- we almost
had a 4-way team here.
