<.... ..> My first and only jump out of an airplane was exciting and fun and terrifying. Other people may find the telling of such occasions interesting. At the risk of generating too much traffic on this newgroup, here's some suggested topics: o The first jump o The most troublesome jump o The most unusual jump o The most ordinary jump -- Steve Nahm sxnahm@bbn-unix.arpa (ARPA) {decvax,ima,linus,wjh12}!bbncca!sxnahm (Usenet)

I have only made two jumps. The first was in Virginia and the second was in Penn. The first was the more confusing and 'abnormal' for me. Not having the knack of jumping and arching made me tumble rather awkwardly. The chute opened and did quite a number on my neck and back, but all turned out well in the end. The second jump was much better with no misfortunes. The trouble is, I dont keep jumping with any regularily. The first 2 jumps were spaced about a year apart. I havent jumped in two years now. Therefore, I have to go through first-jump classes each time. For me, that is sort of okay, I dont know if I have the time or ambition to jump more often. Any ideas to help that time problem? Actually, I plan on getting a group together this spring or summer sometime (maybe more than once) and go again. Any suggestions for a goos (safe) place around Chicago? I am from the east coast and am new to the midwest.
