I've recently gotten interested in Skydiving, and am considering taking it up as a hobby, but need some information on a couple of things: 1) I'm fairly heavy: 6' 1", 270 lb. Is this going to cause any major problems as far a equipment, etc?? I'm in good health, an my Doctor says I'm really 'only' about 40 lbs overweight, due to my bone and muscle structure. He says there are no medical reasons I couldn't jump (he should know, he used to jump himself), but I'm concerned about equipment. 2) I live in Frederick, Md. 45 miles from Baltimore and Washington, does anybody have any suggestions as to locations?? The only one I know of is up in Pennsylvania, about 80 miles away.... Thanks in advance! -- Mike Stalnaker UUCP:{decvax!decuac, cbosgd, seismo}!dolqci!mike AT&T:202-376-6245 USPS:601 D. Of the two, the one in Md is personally perferred since they train beginner's on squares which is God's blessing to skydivers. -eli -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Eli Liang --- University of Maryland Computer Vision Lab, (301) 454-4526 ARPA: liang@cvl, liang@lemuria, eli@mit-mc, eli@mit-prep CSNET: liang@cvl UUCP: {seismo,allegra,brl-bmd}!umcp-cs!cvl!liang

Try calling the United States Parachute Association in Alexandria Virginia. Also, I started jumping when was livin in Towson, MD. We all went to York Skydivers, outside of York PA. The guy who runs the drop zone is name George Bolen. You can try to give him a call. His airplanes take off out of the Hanover Airport (South East Side of Town). The DZ is several miles west in a Farm Field. Last time I was there, he was trying to get approval to put an airport in the field he was using as a DZ.
