[net.rec.skydive] what does RW & CRW stand for ?

scott@othervax.UUCP (Scott Pace) (09/10/85)

During the last week or so there have been a few articles which
make references to RW & CRW. Would someone please explain what
these mean.
I have now completed two jumps and I loooovvvve it !!!
I am hoping to be able to open my own chute before the
season is over!

Thanks, Scott Pace, ...!philabs!micomvax!othervax!scott

The acronyms "RW" and "CRW" stand for "Relative Work" and "Canopy Relative
Work", respectively.
Relative Work is what two or more jumpers do while in freefall when making
the various linked formations that you have no doubt seen.
Canopy Relative Work is similar, but as the name suggests, is done while
under canopy. If you have seen two or more canopies linked together, they were
doing "CRW".
