References: <219@ecn-ed.UUCP> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here's another problem I heard as a 9th grader. If somebody solved it in 5 minutes, please let me know. I didn't, and neither di my teacher, friends, cousins and others who were shown the problem. Given an isocele triangle ABC with A = 20 degrees, B = C = 80 deg. On AB take a point D such that AD = BC. Find the angle ABD. Hao-Nhien Vu (pur-ee!norris) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A /\ / \ / \ D/ \ AD = BC, D on AB / \ / \ -------------- B C Obviously, the angle ABD (took 30 seconds or so) is 0 degrees, (or if you prefer, 360 degrees) Right?? If not, where did I go wrong? All I did was draw the problem as stated and look at it.............. Don Stanwyck ihnp4!ihuxr!stanwyck
