I am currently working on a UNIX program to adjudicate psionic combat, and would appreciate comments from those who have thought about (or coded) such programs...any ideas about parsing, human factors on input formats, interpretations of rules, things to watch out for in the DMG, etc... Or does anyone else use AD&D psionics? Our campaigns have a very few characters, so when we get to psionic combat, the poor DM has very little experience to draw from. Awaiting your comments, Tom Cook BTL CB cbosg!tjc

=============================================================================== I agree with those that find psionics to be a real pain in AD&D. I have run campaigns with and without them and dont find them to be much fun. The articles in the Dragon presented very weak justifications for a very weak system. I don't have my copy with me, but I thought the new psionicist class was a PC and not just a NPC. I guess it doesnt matter much to me, I do not intend to use it -- instead I am including Palladium's Mind Magic system into my current campaign. b2 ...ucbvax!lbl-csam!lanl-a!bb Bryan Bingham
