xx <- two footed stomp Well, with zork there is something called "GDT" that is basically a wizard level: you can pick up random objects, move to random places, etc. It's kind of fun because you really don't know what you are doing and you can explore wonderful problems like: what happens if you pick up the troll? In fact it is fine until you drop him... To get to this level, type GDT as yor first command, and then answer the question that zork asks you... The answer isn't too easy to figure out, by the way... Wayne Ah, there is one way to figure the answer out, but first you have to know that the program uses the same encryption scheme to generate the incantation to pass into endgame. So, you first run through a game up to the point where you are able to get the incantation for endgame, and save it. Then, on another terminal, you enter Zork and ask for GDT. When it asks you to give the proper response to such and such word, go to the other game and call for the incantation. When that one asks you to supply a word, give it the word that was given to you from the GDT game. It will then give you the proper answer, which you can type in as your response to the GDT game. The next problem of course is figuring out how to get around in GDT mode; once I got there, I couldn't do anything because I didn't know any of the commands.
