Subject: Blunders in Action - The Adventures Begin [Issue 2]

Intro:	In the first issue our characters were introduced.
As you sit and sip your vintage wine in the local
tavern of Blund, we'll tell you how the Blunders
		began.

Odyssa, Alexis, Zena and Brunhilde sat sipping their drinks
in Good Time Charlie's, commiserating over the boredom of their
lives. A stranger near the bar caught their attention as his
voice rose in agitation:

"Sure there's treasure, and plenty of excitement - if
you wanna take your life in your hands! But who needs
gold if you're not even breathing? Why, I'd sell these
maps in a minute, but who's gonna buy em?"

Brunhilde's face lit up as she stepped to the bar. Within
the hour, four no longer bored Blunders were racing around town
to collect supplies for their travels, the newly acquired maps
stowed safely in Odyssa's back pack. As they prepared, they
noticed a curious young elf following them. Soon this elf
introduced himself as Gary, and began asking questions about
their plans. New in town and basically aimless, Gary asked to
join them. After a short discussion, they decided that he looked
like a decent sort, even if he was an elf and a wizard, and would
make a good addition to their party. With some reservations,
or so it seemed to Gary, they asked him to join in the adventure.

During their shopping spree, the foursome met a merchant who had
recently stumbled into town after being robbed by bandits on the
road. Troubled by this tale of misfortune, the party decided to
forestall going to the dungeon of their maps long enough to rid
the local by-ways of such marauders.

As they approached the "scene of the crime", they found a short
trail leading off the highway into a nearby glade. The only
apparent object in the clearing was an old weather-beaten chest.
As the four moved closer, wondering what the chest's significance
might be, everyone suddenly lost consciousness (even Gary, the
elf!). When they came to, they found themselves locked in musty
cells; each spell caster was securely bound and gagged, each
individual in a separate cell. Spirits were low. Gary quickly
deduced the situation, thinking to himself, "We were set up!
That merchant wasn't robbed; he was the bait! I'll bet he's
working with some Magic User who slept us all (and got really
lucky with me!)."

The others were thinking similar thoughts when an ogre guard
came in. He had arrived to feed them, or so it seemed, as he
was carrying bowls and a pot of some concoction that resembled
stew. He removed everyone's bonds so they could dine, and the
party began at once to interrogate him. With his apparent IQ of
30, he provided little intelligent communication, and kept
chuckling about how the master hadn't pulled in so many female
slaves in ages.

He departed still chuckling to himself, neglecting to replace
the bonds and gags, leaving the party to ponder their fate.
