Cantrip light is still an illusion, argue if you like.
the illusion would be of a lit room(etc.), and would be limited
in reality by the illusionists actual knowledge of the room.
This could lead to the ability to navigate, but perhaps a false
sense fo safety. The circumstance of hiding a nasty with your
own light would be unkind, so it might be best to discuss this
spell at the outset of the game and decide on the answer for you.
