[net.games.frp] An intresting dungeon theme

mlg@ipms.UUCP (Mike Greenberg) (08/01/84)

I just ran an adventure that had the theme of 'Beetles music'.
The adventurers had to do something in 'bugland'.
There are quite a few intresting things that I was able to do with
that theme, here are a few of them:
	- Wander through a very large area of plants
that are about 6 inches tall and have 1" diameter,
	   red heart shaped fruits...Strawberry fields
But don't forget the second line of the song...
		"Nothing is real"
	- Meet a person who is standing motionless on top of
a hill. This person seems to be talking, but nothing
is coming out of his mouth...The fool on the hill
(He got to be the fool on the hill by putting on a
cloak of powerlessness...of course on of they players
tried on the cloak when he found it...)
	- Meet the sage who knows everything (Octopus).
To find him you have to take a ride in a "yellow submarine"
	  to his "garden"
	- Don't forget about the bards, John, Paul, Ringo, and George...
The bards do have a slight problem...They have a charisma of
22 with respect to teenager females...Occasionally you'll see
one running for his life, being chased by a hode of young women...
	- The evil Illusionist with her magic jar. (Elenor Rigby).
On command, the jar can creates three powerfull illusions
	  simultainously:
		- A persons face appears in the jar,
		- That persons face dissapears from his head,
All other people see his face go from his head
			into the jar
		- That person thinks that he is deaf, dumb, and blind

The possibilities are endless...just think of all of the intresting
beetle characters to meet, and places to go...

I would like to see some more articles about other peoples
"theme" dungeons.
