                                                 Point Value Sale Value
Intermediate Range Magic Missile (IRMM) (M) 1,000 2,500
Intercontinental Magic Missile (ICMM) (M) 2,000 5,000

These items are one shot magic items a power hungry emperor had
built for use in war time. The IRMM is a tactical weapon used to
attack cities and troop concentrations. The ICMM is a strategic
weapon used to attack cities from very long range. Both weapons
appear as 10' long spears with heavy heads made of a glassy substance
and a bulb of crystal on the other end. There is a large red button
near the crystal bulb. In order to operate the weapon, a
mage must use the bulb of crystal as a crystal ball to sight the
target. The bulb can only see as far as the range of the weapon,
which is 10 miles for the IRMM and 100 miles for the ICMM. Once
the target is sighted, the mage presses the big red button and
the weapon takes off and flys to it's target. Upon impact, it
shatters and releases a cloudkill. A rolling barrage of these
can do all kinds of fun things to an enemy city.
Pressing the red button without first sighting it in causes
the missile to fly to the largest population center within it's
range and do its dirtiest. Anyone can launch the missile, but
only a mage can sight it in.
The experience point values and G.P. sale values are low
because they are one shot items. As for level recommendation,
any will do, because whoever finds one is likely to press the
button and nail a population center before he knows what he's
got. It's a fun way to inadvertantly start wars.
