[stand and deliver, line-eater bug] gee, these funny-mentalists seem to think that anything fun (except J.C., of course, and getting hi on heaven) is a sin. i've only been frp'ing for about half a year, tho' i'd wanted to give it a try for a LONG time. i'm involved in several games, tho' not D&D, 'cuz the only game i know of is too high level and can't let in a rank beginner (they've been a group for about 6 years). so far none of them has suggested that playing is such a bring-down and so demonic that they want to kill themselves. in fact, i have a great time when i play, and usually spend much of the evening laughing my *** off. by day, i'm a "mild mannered secretary" (well, just don't take me TOO literally). by night, i'm the psychotic tribal head (with absolutely no sense of direction) of a band of wolf- riding elves (only because i'm the oldest, not 'cuz i wanted to be), which includes an elf who spends his winters training in appearance(!), another who would rather eat dreamberries than do anything else, and another who has set his character up so that he can ONLY train in weapons. is this a typical Elfquest group?,
