All right - you asked for it!
Here is my current favourite character. He has been being played for
7 years of real-world time. The campaign he is from is, as you can
gather, a fairly high level one.
Lafite is The High Priest of Dionysus, a moderately popular
Ghod in this world. As such, he has many churchly duties, but not
enough to keep him from going adventuring when the mood (or the
need) strikes. Lafite is currently involved in an epic battle to
save his world from the icky nasty slimy vile despicable Mind-Flayer
menace (background - the mind flayers seem to be launching an offensive
against psionics in this world, in an attempt to capture the plane
and use it as a cattle-yard). In his struggle, he is assisted by
several other characters of equivalent might. Lafite's major goal
is the promotion of the worship of Dionysus, which has been increasing
under his able stewardship.
Some of his abilities/specifications/possessions have been
altered, as the person who is running the Mind-Flayer Empire
is on the net....
