There are two chutes which take you to level 10. The easiest one was described in an earlier note, so I will just briefly tell of it: After leaving the 1x1 cubicle on the 9th which contains the elevator there are two doors, one on the left and one on the right. Go through the left door into a 2x2 room. After fighting whatever monster(s) you encounter, go forward one square, turn right, and go forward again. This is the square in which the chute is located.
