On my previous article, I didn't put in any details on how to get A&E because I didn't want to be flamed at for making commercial use of the net. However, enough people wrote me (and my mail to at least one of them bounced back), so...here's a brief announcement. A&E is 100+ pages monthly of discussion about all sorts of roleplaying games and related topics. It has no advertisements. It's mimeographed. It costs $1.50 plus postage. Minimal postage is 69 cents in the US, 96 cents outside of the US (making A&E $2.19/issue in the US; $2.46 outside). Contributing by E-mail is $1.20 per page and gets you a free issue (no charge for postage either). Send money or checks (US or foreign) to Lee Gold 3965 Alla Road Los Angeles, CA 90066 Oh yes, the title is from a Shakespearean stage direction. It means people run on stage, fight, and run offstage again. Let's start a new discussion topic. Am I the only person who checks for past history of magic items? Even for a mere (?) +1 sword, it's fun to know who the original maker was and what sort of person he made it for. For one thing it's apt to give you a lot of ideas for low-grade but intereting sword talents that aren't in the rules. Like a +1 scimitar made for a caravan leader might have Detect Water and Speak Camel.
