In regards to the poor thief caught picking pockets in the party... How else is he suppose to keep in practice? Actually, a similar situation occurred to my cleric in one adventure. It seems our Bard (mid-level) was having a particularly bad time doing ANYTHING right; falling down walls, trees, tripping over things, failing his charm, etc. when the cleric desided it was time to try and consol if not convert the poor devil. Well, after each heart-to-heart, the bard was appropriately grateful to the cleric and gave a gift of some small g.p. for the cleric's "poor pouch". It took a while but the cleric finally noticed that the "poor pouch" never really got any heavyer. Now, being basically N/G, the cleric realized that the bard needed to have SOME feeling of accomplishment and so merely prayed for his soul (and kept better track of his goodies...) No hassle, no fuss. It still puzzles me when party members feel they must KILL each other. I've been in a game where a charactor has walked OUT of the adventure due to the actions of another player from 'alignment' conflict (more properly personality conflict). This problem was re-occuring until the offending player was 'cast out' and play was resumed elsewhere (the player has since been re-instated, something about a new blood-pressure perscription). As someone once said, 'The play is the thing', or as I like to say, "If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right". steve avsdS:steve AMPEX
