Our campaign also has used more than one DM (2, to be specific). The usual problems mentioned weren't nearly as important here because the sub-DM is running us through adventures on an island that "has been cut off from the rest of the world for hundreds of years". Thus, the problem of conflicting with the world's politics and so forth is much less important. It has led to some interesting situations, though. The way we were led to this place is that members of our party started having dreams. These eventually led us to a portal of some sort which transported us to the island. The DM knew were the portal was on the main continent and the sub-DM knew were it was on the island, but not visca-versa. So the dream contained components from the two DMs, with the result that neither understood the full dream! The main problem so far is that the sub-DM has had to be very careful about the magic he gives out. All the really powerful stuff is from a long-dead civilization which existed on the main continent. Since he doesn't know any more about this then the other players (it's a relatively new campaign [~8 mons]), he isn't really certain about what kind of stuff they might have made. So far though, things have worked out o.k. Mark F.
