I remember seeing a posting about Fantasy Hero earlier here, but I can't find it now that I am interesed. A friend of mine purchased it, and seems to be a VERY good game. It seems well designed (that is, it doesn't have many of the problems that AD&D etc. suffer from.) Does anyone else have any comments about it? I also have some questions to ask someone about it, if they think they have a firm grasp of the system... -- David Corbin Georgia Institute of Technology Box 34034 Atlanta GA 30332 ...!{akgua,allegra,amd,hplabs,ihnp4,masscomp,ut-ngp}!gatech!gitpyr!dave ...!{rlgvax,sb1,uf-cgrl,unmvax,ut-sally}!gatech!gitpyr!dave

[...] I believe I was the first person to talk about Fantasy Hero here, so I'll put in another plug. I think Fantasy Hero is a very well-designed game, well-integrated with the other Hero Games and not prone to many of the weaknesses seen in D&D and AD&D. If nothing else, it has benefited from Hero Games' experience in other genres and the years of experience RPG players have had with other fantasy games. NOW IF ONLY HERO GAMES WOULD GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER!!!!!!! The game may be wonderful, but the paste-up of the Fantasy Hero book is abominable. Absolutely no one proofread this sucker. Every other page has some annoying slip-up on it somewhere. Since I am very familiar with other Hero Games products, these didn't interfere with playing the game at all, but they did keep me in a state of aggravation while reading. If anyone did have problems with understanding the rules, mail me or send questions to the net. I will also give another review of the game if enough people ask... Jim Gardner, University of Waterloo
