Actually, I recall a case in the east bay, Oakland I think, where
a young (13-ish) DM accidently shot himself to death because he
was playing with a loaded gun (the old "empty-the-magazine-but-forget-
the-chamber" trick). It went something along the line of he got out
the gun and deliberately pointed it at his head and pulled the trigger
(after removing "all" the rounds, of course), saying something like
"I am the DM and I am all powerfull and cannot be harmed"--BANG!!!

I remember the comment that a police investigator made in the newspapers
about it, "...these books are marked 'Advanced' (Dungeons and Dragons),
and he was just a kid..."
