The International Fantasy Gaming Society (IFGS) is a group of people dedicated to the real-life playing of FRP games in a medieval or Spy vs. Spy setting. We have 'real' battles with 'Foam' weapons, and use simulated missile weapons and spells. Check us out - the first New Jersey game is scheduled for September 14th. It's a lot of fun, here in Denver/Boulder we have been putting on games for over 3 years now, and the special effects and monsters and costuming have become much more sophisticated.
