After reading the preceding article about the MSU steam tunnels, I feel that I must comment. Here at the University of Illinois, we also have a problem with students entering and goofing arond in the steam tunnels. Although I don't know of any gamers going down there and playing, I'll bet some of them have. The fact is, those d*mn tunnels are dangerous!!! The University was telling people this, and nobody believed it. At least, they didn't believe it until somebody went down there, injured himself, and died down there. Since then, University officials have sealed (cemented, I believe) all the known openings into those tunnels. I haven't heard of anyone down there since, so I guess they did a good job. My advise to any University students on the net (from anywhere across the country) who know of steam tunnels at their campus, DON'T GO DOWN THERE! The risks are too great. Robert A. Ekblaw.
