Net.games.pbm was created exactly for that purpose. I suspect you're welcome to use it. There have been a couple of abortive attempts to run a campaign on the net, notably BAE's AD&D derived game that fell into a black hole when he graduated, and my Rolemaster game that died when various mail connectivity problems lost half the players for three months, rendering the game more or less hopeless. The demise of the Rolemaster campaign was frustrating indeed, I regret its demise.
