[net.games.frp] Summary of RuneQuest

Many thanks to all who replied. A summary of the feedback follows.
Rather than rewrite what was already written, the responses I
received were drastically edited to remove names, addresses, and
redundancies.

Though it is not RuneQuest material, you may find that the world of Harn
series of game players aides fit in very nicely with RuneQuest.

I assume you're using third edition RQ (the Avalon Hill version).
They've been promising the "Gods of Glorantha" supplement to appear any
day now for the last six months. It's supposed to have lots of good
stuff on the cults.

About a year ago I managed to find probably the last "Cults of Prax" in
the Denver area. To use it in RQ3 it needs a lot of work, especially if
you want to be compatible with the GoG supplement (any day now...).

The apazine "Alarums & Excursions" usually has something on RQ every
month, and has had some homebrew Cults published in recent months. It's
published by Lee Gold. A&E has lots of good generic stuff for GMs
as well, I recommend it.

Different Worlds is a magazine that has Runequest as one of
the games it featured fairly regularly. Some of the cults in it
are very strange (I have a copy of the Cults of Gestetner, and
Endless Summer - a mimeograph and beachboy cult respectively.)

Wyrms Footnotes is VERY old Runequest stuff, and is
definitely NOT being published any more. The only way to find
copies of WF stuff is finding a friend with copies. Not an easy
task.
