Well, I posted a message a while back regarding the use of multiple characters in a scenario, and I started quite a mess. I've only posted one article regarding that, and the past hundred or so build on the topic. Great. Suffice it to say that some prefer to play simply one character, while other prefer to run more than one. I never noted this before, but I meant at the same session, side by side in a marching order. Having two or three in the same campaign might work better...I really haven't tried that, nor did I intend to address that possibility in previous articles. Frankly, my campaign really wouldn't conducive to that anyway. As for 2 characters per player, I don't think 11 players at one table with two characters each would work too well...even if the players were capable of doing so well....Can you say "Squadron?" I think there's an inherent problem with a forum of this variety...when someone who's been playing one way for many years, and they fancy themselves a good player or gamemaster, they view each article with a sort of condescension for the author, and not a whole lot (if anything) is ever resolved...Much like discussions on abortion. I think the only thing that net users have managed to agree upon is that Don Hewitt (60 minutes' high priest) is the AntiChrist. :-) Another thing that I don't think people understand at times (myself included) is that the only thing that's important is that all involved have fun. Often, in tournaments, players and gamemasters alike lose sight of this. Noting that there seems to be a competitive air of sorts here, with regards to who knows what, I think everyone should just remember that from time to time. Games are designed for the enjoyment of all involved. Most of my close friends I have met through gaming, or similar activities...As long as the people involved have a good time, that's great. More power to all of you. Happy New Year. May it smile on your version of reality. "Uh, they're in the middle of the lawn, surrounded by flames. Should I call the fire department?" "No, but you COULD turn up the stereo a little." Gary Huckabay !ucbvax!ucdavis!deneb!ccs007
