[ont.jobs] Good headhunter for UNIX/C jobs

saquigley@watdaisy.UUCP (Sophie) (01/28/85)

I would like to recommend Mr Peter Ferrante of National Executive
(The Atrium on Bay, 595 Bay Street, Suite 1050, Toronto, Ont., M5G 2C2
Tel (416) 591-8800, Telex:065-28226) as a very good headhunter for UNIX jobs.

I have been looking for a job as a C analyst/programmer under UNIX for the past
two months (I found one) and have had the opportunity to get very frustrated
with many employers' and headhunters' attitudes towards freshly graduated
Computer Science majors. While I have a Master of Mathematics and have been
working full-time for a year as a C programmer under UNIX, and have been using
UNIX regularly for the last 3 years I did encounter many people along the way
who would just refuse to acknowledge that my experience was worth anything.

Mr Ferrante, however took me (and my salary requirements) seriously from the
moment he met me and proceeded to introduce me immediately to different
companies, all of which had interesting positions to offer. Mr Ferrante was
very helpful throughout the whole process, discussing with me my preferences
in working environments and taking care of small details such as finding out
bus routes to the different companies. I was altogether very satisfied with his
services and this is why I recommend him heartily.
