York University is considering applications for the position of undergraduate coordinator. The following advertisement appeared in CAUT, March, 1988. (Note the change in deadline: applications will now be accepted until April 15.) York University. Faculty of Science. Department of Computer Science. A tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate Lecturer level in the Alternate Stream. A Master's degree in Computer Science or a PhD degree in other related areas with extensive experience in Computer Science is required. A minimum of 2 years experience in a university environment preferred. The successful candidate must have demonstrated teaching ability and excellent communications skills. Effective Date of Appointment: July 1, 1988. Salary will be commensurate with experience and rank. Duties include: a) responsibility for the undergraduate office, including advising students, preparing the Department's Undergraduate Calendar, assisting the Chair in staffing undergraduate courses, scheduling of annual undergraduate course offerings, high school liaison, and other related functions. b) reponsibility for coordinating a multi-section course consisting of 1200 students. c) Teaching undergraduate courses.
