Please direct enquiries to Lynn Elison, not to me. ------------- Statistical Analyst (Contract Position) Workers' Compensation Board $680.51 to $814.16/week (under review) In order to support the activities of the Occupational Disease Department of the Workers' Compensation Board, the core function of the Statistical Analyst is to create and maintain analytical databases on occupational disease, and to prepare statistical reports from these analytical databases. Responsibilities: - Create and document research data bases, via electronic transfer of data from existing data bases inside and outside the Workers' Compensation Board - Prepare and run computer programs using SAS, FOCUS or other software packages - Generate tables, reports, and statistical output - Perform statistical tests and calculate epidemiological measures by computer or manually if necessary - Respond to enquiries from staff in the Occupational Disease Department and other Board staff. Essential Qualifications: - University degree with graduate training in computers and/or statistics. - Knowledge of TSO, SAS, or other computer software packages. - Excellent analytical skills. - Ability to work independently. - Attention to detail. - A familiarity with statistical methodology and information technology. - Knowledge of occupational health or epidemiology an asset.
